Inspired to capture the unique silhouette of the Cota Tinctoria or 'Dyers Chamomile' flower. This framed piece is made with silk noil (raw silk) fabric that was dyed with cutch. Then using pigment extracted from earths ocher to make printing ink, the silhouette from chamomile flowers is then stamped onto the fabric and framed out with maple wood.
Each piece is incredibly unique and cannot be exactly duplicated.
